Winter Is Coming in Warface: Clutch with the Street Rebels Season
Seasonal update introduces a new co-op mission, changes to weapon balance and Ranked matches in the PC version, and much more.
The tactical shooter Warface Clutch has launched its winter season Street Rebels, headlined by the PvE Operation Silent Streets. Players take on the role of Blackwood squad members, roaming city streets by night patrolled by Warface forces, as they attempt to assassinate the head of the Nakai Corporation, Rina Nakai.
Street Rebels also includes significant adjustments to balance for the following weapons:
- AN-94 "Abakan" (Assault Rifle)
- USAS-12 (Shotgun)
- AS50 (Sniper Rifle)
- FN SCAR-H (Assault Rifle)
- CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 (SMG)
- Taurus Judge (Sidearm)
Ranked matches on PC now feature shorter match durations, with reduced time for planting, defusing, and exploding bombs, as well as the introduction of a linear progression system. For the console version, the economy has also been reworked. The removal of weapon durability means that players no longer need to spend currency to keep their weapons in working order, and the new bonus currency vault allows players to earn more Crowns and other currency to speed up progression. Melee weapon stats have been unified, which means that your choice of melee weapon is now a matter of style rather than stats, part of the ongoing effort to reward skill over having the best gear.
Street Rebels also introduces a new Battle Pass, featuring the Street Art weapon series for guns like the QBZ-191, Panzer Arms BP-12, FAMAE SAF-200, PGM Ultima Ratio, and more. In the new prestige Season, players can earn gold models of the STK CMCR, Chiappa Triple Threat, Magpul PDR-C, and MC-572 “Astarta”.
The PvE Rat-Killer weapon series offers a chance to acquire the CSV-9, SKS FAB, and much more. New rewards have also been added for participating in Ranked matches, including the Crossfit Medic Suit and weapons from the Racing Livery series, such as the ST Kinetics CPW, a combat knife, and a smoke grenade.
Gameplay changes include increased movement speed with melee weapons, and improvements to opponent hitboxes. In the console version, players can experience a major overhaul of the PvE system, including updated difficulty levels, revamped rewards, seasonal updates, and the disabling of friendly fire. On PC, resurrection tokens have been removed for PvE missions, and players now have a set number of revives per difficulty level. Additionally, in Special Operations and PvE missions, the reward system has been adjusted in favor of players, offering currency, boosters, and more after battles. For newcomers, special contracts have been updated, with accelerated respawn in TDM and automatic progression to the next training session.
The ‘Frostbite’ Christmas event brings a frosty new look to the Factory map, a series of ‘Skating Ice’ weapons, and the return of the Custodian game mode for a limited time. In addition, a new Agent will be added to the game soon.
